They're muse fans on a muse forum...

And I'm one of them.
I don't care if it's pretentious. The music what matters.
We knew that the last 3 songs will connect to each other. It will be a 15 minutes long symphonic closing. They had to name it that way.

I think Muse titles have always seemed pretentious
however I still like them and own a few albums, I'll probably give this new one a listen.

LiT I'm sure you're very excited like most of us get over anything Animal collective do

Remember when they announced titles like Knights of Cydonia. That might have seemed pretentious but then what a song!!!

And I think it's not a good thing to judge when you haven't even heard a single song of the album.

The Resistance Listening Session

http://citizen-mused.blogspot.com/2009/ ... ssion.html

The listening session was held group by group, and she was assigned to a group called 'Schedule 2'. The group consists of 6 people who represent thier own country respectively, including Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, and Japan.

- Incredible masterpiece.
- The band succeeded to express art to a high degree, which consist with accessibillity.
- Authentic miracle.

After the listening session, members of 'Schedule 2' except the author drank to celebrate 'the greatest masterpiece of Muse.'

I'm so excited! :D

I'm v. excited about this album and the o2 shows, did think the titles were hugely pretentious when I first saw the tracklisting, but I'm sure Bellamy has the pomposity to pull 'em off - it's a compliment!

Yeah we know. Matt is a big Queen fan. But hey. You haven't heard the best part of the song, they just added the beautiful piano outro.

Listen that ending:

So beautiful, I love the classical side of Muse.
I love that Matt takes inspiration from Chopin. :)

What do you mean they've added a new bit?

This song has reached a new level of pretension.

I admit I like the piano bit, a lot, but not at the end of this song in question I'm afraid!

Collateral Damage outro.
United States of Eurasia + Collateral Damage
That's the full song. They revealed finally the whole song because the treasure hunt succeded. They revealed the song part by part.

Here:

That was the treasure hunt. To unify Eurasia.

Yeah, I think it's not the best Muse track but there are some great bits.
So let's wait and see the album, or the first single which is "Uprising".
And there's that 3 part symphony at the end of the album:
Exogenesis: Symphony Part I (Overture)"
Exogenesis: Symphony Part II (Cross Pollination)"
Exogenesis: Symphony Part III (Redemption)"

Let's wait and see :)
