you can listen to Klaxons. I love them. I just saw them last weekend.
The new songs were fantastic. I can't wait for the new album.

I ordered the Muse box set (yes, this box set) and very nearly bought tickets for Teignmouth even though I live in London and am going to see them here. Iz I mental?

And I thought I was a Blur fan. One person can't afford to like two big-name bands, 'specially when one of them has just staged a big-name comeback..

^^ Good job, that's the box set I wanted. Too much for a poor student to afford though :'(

I don't think you're mental SCU, I think those Teignmouth shows are going to be pretty awesome seeing as its their hometown etc.

And just to meander off topic, is there any more news on whether Blur are actually going to write/record new stuff? I feel a little out of the loop over here, where the only Blur song anyone knows is Song 2.

No official word on new material. Graham says, 'why not?', Damon says he'd be up for it, and kinda suggested that he wouldn't want to play any more shows, at least in the UK, without some new material, I think he sees it as kinda flogging a dead horse, which I suppose it is to some degree it is, though I'm sure there are plenty of people that wouldn't mind.... Alex says that it would be weird not to make some new music.... but also that the band haven't actually sat down and discussed it, though Damon and Graham apparently have, according to.... Graham.

Dave says nuffin :P

Though they're always pretty secretive about these things, Damon was saying, 'NO MORE BLUR' for ages, then it kinda happened....

Re the box set - I know! The price very nearly did put me off, but kinda consoled myself with the fact that it's limited to 5000 or summat, so if I get to the can't afford to eat stage of skint I can just ebay it. Had to rein in tenners owed to me by various people to be able to order it  should be worth it though..

I'm so jealous you're going to the Teignmouth gig.
I'd die for a Muse concert this year, but there are no Austrian dates unfortunately :(

Not leaked. Still fake. A guy tried to make me believe it's real but it wasn't. totally fake, don't waste your time. Uprising is real there but there rest are not.

Cheers :) you certainly know your Blur! I really would love them to write some new stuff, I agree that it is flogging a dead horse if they don't (like what Rage etc have done lately), but having said that if they fancied coming to New Zealand and playing all the old tunes, I'd still love it :D

Back to Muse, I think that box set is limited to 1000, so even better! Definately a good call, I think if I was in the UK I would've had one, the shipping just nails me over here. I just preordered Brand New's new album and the shipping equated to the same price as the CD/T-shirt/stickers bundle.

Lol. Matt in Guitar Hero 5!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWIi2BFc-_E

It's very much like Matt, his moves and facial expressions.
And the spinning with the guitar when he plays the main riff.

I didn't know:

a) that guitar hero now has ACTUAL CHARACTERS (slash in no. 3 doesn't count 'cos he was just selling the brand)
b) that guitar hero 5 was due - what the shit became of number four!!??

I think number four is Guitar Hero: World Tour

I'm currently playing with that. Great game. It has guitar, bass, vocals and drums as well. You can even make songs.

And it has Assassin by Muse. : )

Yeah, I don't have that one. The one I do have doesn't technically belong to me anyway, but am planning on acquiring it somehow..

Those who won listening session today in London, they're so lucky.

The Reviews are so promising that I'm dying to hear it right noooow!!
One of the listeners said:

"Them 30 second previews, SHOW NOTHING

There are riffs, Unnatural selection is a monster of a track too, parts of it reminded me of OoS/Hullabaloo styles in terms of rock song; like yes please that kinda vibe at times. After beginning with an ethereal sounding church organ, 'Unnatural Selection' transforms into a driving, full-throttle mammoth (think 'Supermassive Black Hole', only 100bpm faster) which, at times, seems to leave even Bellamy gasping for air. Thankfully for the singer, however, the song breaks down as he sings about trying “to... Read more ride out the storm” over a distorted guitar solo. The pace then picks up again as the Bellamy and bassist Chris Wolstenholme unleash a Rage Against The Machine sounding finale.

The intro to MK Ultra Is AWESOME and theres a massive riff at the end.

After uprising It goes really really atmospheric and the clipp for it on itunes gives away hardly anything that's not the verse or chorus kinda like a little bridge and undisclosed desires is awesome.

Exo is amazing It's hard to explain though with the clips on itunes it shows the best parts of the symphony tbh inbetween parts are like tinkling piano and stuff.

Undisclosed:
"I want to exorcise the demons from your past
I want to satisfy the undisclosed desires... Read more
In your heart"

Theres no solos really only the one in Guiding light which is pretty much all shown in the preview. Exo part 1 is the best i think."
