I like Uprising a lot more than United States... It does sound a lot like about 3 of their old songs mashed together though (I'm working on telling which ones)... I am excited about this album though, you never know what they're going to do. And I think I'm looking forward to the tour even more. It will be EPIC. 8)

Previews of all the tracks off The Resistance from iTunes in one youtube video:

It sounds pretty sweet from these snippets. You can hear a massive Queen influence in pretty much every song though!

I'm gonna resist!! I won't ruin the fun. I want to hear it as a whole, not 30 seconds of each songs. So I'm waiting, and no listening. :)

Yeah? I heard the symphonic part and MK Ultra is the best? Is that true?
WHat does the other tracks sound? Like Undisclosured Desires with no guitar and piano really? :D Could you sum up, yeah it'd be easier to listen but I don't want to.

Haha um its really difficult to sum them up from 30 second previews but yeah Exogenesis sounds pretty special, and MK Ultra and Unnatural Selection sound really good.

From the previews there don't seem to be any quieter songs (like Soldier's Poem, that kind of thing) but then they are only short clips, so there could be songs that start quiet and build up, like New Born.

From where I'm sitting there's very much a Queen sound in most of the songs too. Some electric drums in Undisclosed Desires, Guiding Light sounds a little slower and a bit of an anthem, MK Ultra really does sound awesome, and I Belong To You sounds..well.. funky isn't the right word, but that kind of thing, it sort of reminds me of the Map Of Your Head guitar part spirit applied to the entire song, but electric not acoustic.

And I think epic is the only word for how Exogenesis sounds from the three previews.

Lol, I hope that helps though it probably doesn't! It's more just ramblings. Either way, it's going to be quite an album.

Um when I say electric drum I mean that kinda synthy drum sound, almost like a drum machine, think metronomy or intimacy era Bloc Party etc..

Yeah I'm buying it too, I really want that limited edition super special boxset release with the vinyl and cd and dvd and extra artwork or whatever, but its about 50pounds so it was going to cost me about $160 New Zealand dollars, and that's without postage (which would be extortionate to the other side of the world), which is fucking ridiculous.

Will definately be downloading a leak though, as long as its decent bitrate.

Yeah, I like Muse.
But after hearing The Uprising, there's no way I'm buying The Resistance

I don't want to say anything offensive! It's only 1 song of 11 on the album even if you don't like that song. You'll miss the Exogenesis 3 part symphony, the biggest thing Muse ever created.

I think Uprising is brilliant btw.
