Yeah, that's good as well. But I prefer Sketchead :D

They look like 14 year olds going through a rebellious stage, and I find it hard to look at them, as shallow as it sounds.

true, but the album is quality.

Yeah. It's too good. I didn't expect this. I really like them again.

They've really learnt how to write music and play their instruments. There's a lot going on in these tracks, and I think there are some reversed guitars on one of the songs in fact. I hope AM finally get the respect they deserve- especially Alex Turner as a songwriter.

Jeweller's Hands is a great closer, but I'm not surprised given their ability to close the other two albums so well.

There's some seriously virtuoso-esque stuff coming from the AM these days and it's really impressive. The drummer Matt is brilliant. Double bloody triplets! That would make my hands fall off :(

Yeah, Helders is great. I think my favourite song off it so far is Dangerous Animals. Is that actually Josh Homme speaking the opening lines? Sure sounds like him!

Yeah, on Dance Little Liar right? :o :D
Matt Helders is an awesome drummer.

And in Secret Door not only the refrain is brilliant but the drumming before the refrains. Here's a great live video of Secret Door:

Yeah, the other song which reminds me Josh Homme is Potion Approaching. Really robot rock as Homme describes.. And in that song there's that guitar bridge around 2:07 in the middle when only Jamie Cook plays. That bridge is awesome, catchy. Great Am bits!!

I really like Pretty Visitors as well, that's one of the best AM songs ever. But every song on the album is superb.

Dangerous Animals has really grown on me - it's epic. At first I wasn't too sure about the whole, 'D-A-N-G-E-R-O-U-S' spelling thing, but it sounds great now.

I'm pretty obsessed with Pretty Visitors, and I love Secret Door - especially the 'fools on parade' bit.

Great album.

Did anyone see the shite review in possibly The Observer, where the stand-out quotation was something like, 'for the first time, Turner's lyrics outshine the tunes' - and this was a negative, so wrong on two accounts. It's always been his lyrics that have stood out and this is a good thing, though on this album they are doing much more interesting things musically as well, so have it all.

I'm really looking forward to seeing them at Reading and hearing the new songs, and understand that they're not the same band they were 3/4 years ago, but dropping Mardy Bum etc. is just a mistake. It's pretty transcendent anyway, and they still play I Bet You Look Good..... drop that and I'd be fine, but we'll see..

I dunno, I've heard Mardy Bum to death, and whilst it was an amazing song at the time, endless radio plays have somewhat killed it.

Guh, The Observer are in no position to be reviewing music!

The music during this part is wonderful!

I like how dirty the guitars are sounding in general.

Cornerstone is SUCH a pretty song. Lovely, lovely lyrics:

"And I elongated my lift home,
Yeah I let him go the long way round
I smelt your scent on the seatbelt
And kept my shortcuts to myself"
