A lot of their early stuff is just feedback and screams, but in a completely different way from Fuck Buttons. Listen to the Slippi that Staunchino posted.

ALSO, this is the noise I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKU2iS4OMq0
If you like this I advise you get the first album (Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished) by them.

ME TOO!! where?
as if there is someone else in the lake district who likes animal collective. we should be best friends.

 :o

WOW!! Next you'll be telling me you're into Grizzly Bear, Deerhunter, Atlas Sound and Black Dice.

I'm actually living just outside Ulverston, do you know it? I've lived in the Lake District pretty much all my life... Bowness, Keswick and I spend a bit of time at the Lakeside Hotel with my job. Whereabouts are you??

I was not aware that there were other people in my area with excellent musical taste. 8)

I certainly do know ulverston, I have some friends from there. I live in ambleside. and I freakin love all those bands above, especially black dice! and here I was thinking that cumbria was a cultural vacuum!
